To those who still follow the Crissic name, and/or point fingers I wanted to clear up a few things for everyone.

1) Yes HUGE, irreversible mistakes had been made that I cannot dispute, or truly resolve.

2) NO, CRISSIC is NOT affiliated with anybody! We are not affiliated, or supporting other offshoot companies created by Michael, or anyone else. Anything that may have claimed, or appears to be Crissic is NOT unless expressively stated by myself.

3) Are we reopening? No plans as of now! There is a possibility, however if Crissic or any other company was re-opened by myself it will only be done at the right time, with the right funding, and the CORRECT business plan. Learn from your mistakes, expand from them, and don’t let them happen again.

As of NOW, Crissic is not open, nor is the owner (Skylar MacMinn) running any other business or partaking in any other online business affiliated with the webhosting industry, Michael, or anyone else who may have had ties during the duration of Crissic’s business life. Unless posted on this blog, this has not changed.

In the event that Crissic re-opens, anybody with a legitimate claim with Crissic during it’s fallout that has a receipt may be compensated. This would be determined on a case by case basis. Please note we do NOT have any databases or designs from the original Crissic, so any re-opening would not have any data from prior clients. All data was permanently deleted for the safety of clients.

Here’s to the future, and learn from your mistakes!

Edit: This is taken directly from my reply to a prior customer.

“…When I opened Crissic, I literally started it as a bit of a trial run. I started it with a reseller and $25. It grew, so I expanded it, and it kept expanding at enormous rates. The issue with this was the fact that there originally was no solid, concrete business model, business plan, or any plans for the future. My shortcomings with Crissic really stem around the mismanagement of the business structure, which later resulted in the mismanagement of the clients, and their respective data.

I do wish to personally apologize to you Nate, and to anyone else who may be reading any of this. I made large, irreversible mistakes. The only way I can really make it up, in the event that I ever decide to re-open, would be to work three… nae 400% better than I had before. Mistakes happen, but mistakes of this magnitude should not have occurred. That I cannot dispute on any level.”

Starting Friday July 25th, 2008 our technicians will begin moving the clients located on the “Charlie” (67.215.230.66 ) VPS node to the Infomart Datacenter. Your VPS will remain live as long as possible, until we open a ticket with you giving you your new set of IPs.

What are the benefits?

The Infomart Datacenter is located in Dallas, TX which is central to all of the United States, meaning there will be better connectivity to not only all of the states, but to 99% of the outlying countries.

The hardware we will be switching to is top of the line, and even newer than our current configurations. The new configurations allow for better speeds, less IO wait meaning faster loads, and overall, better performance.

What are the negatives?

The downside to such a massive move is it will require a huge number of man hours to orchestrate the move of 50 VPS clients to the two new nodes, as well as issuing new IPs to the clients. With the new IPs, there is expected to be up to 48 hours of downtime to the client’s URL due to DNS Propagation. A typical DNS propagation can be anywhere from a matter of minutes, to 48 hours.

We understand that this may cause some minor inconvenience during the transitioning process. We acknowledge this, and are willing to give 25% off of your next generated invoice. This is not applied to invoices that are due within the next 10 days, but the credit will be issued, upon request, to next month’s invoice.

The official dates for moving clients:

Charlie(67.215.230.66 ): Friday July 25th, 2008
Alpha(67.215.235.202): To be Announced

New orders placed within the last 2-3 days are already located on the new server, BRAVO, which is located at the Infomart datacenter. Clients who requested to be moved to the new datacenter are already on the new node. Clients on the BRAVO node will not experience any downtime due to the server migration of alpha and Charlie.

More information will be given as we prepare for the migration(s), and are migrating servers. Upon completion of each VPS migration, you will receive an email stating a new ticket was opened on your behalf with a copy of your new IPs.

During the migration period, HyperVM will be inaccessible while we move your VPS. Your VPS, however, should remain live and active until you are issued new IPs.

If you require further information, have questions or comments, or need clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Crissic Solutions, LLC had offered over $300 in services to a local website, HostingRealm. After a heated debate with the owner of HR, Crissic was forcefully removed from the competition.

At the time, Crissic had been the largest donator, helping bring the grand total of prizes to over $2500. After being removed, the competition now only resides with shy of $2000 left in the pot.
As far as those taking place in the competition, if you had been after Crissic’s services, I am sorry that they are no longer availible due to the owner of HR’s choice.

Crissic will still be providing services in some upcoming competitions with other similar online communities. A post will be updated at a later date as to where these services will be donated.

June 2008 Seattle, Washington

Crissic Solutions, LLC Now provides top quality Bandwidth with new Data Center Steady Communications, LLC.

After negotiations between SteadCom and Crissic Solutions, and doing intensive tests over a period of 24 hours, Crissic Solutions has concluded the move to the Pacific Rack data center to be “in the best interest of the clientele”

The Data center Utilizes the following bandwidth providers:

20 Gbps Direct Fiber – Level(3) (2×10GigE)
2 Gbps Direct Fiber – Sprint
1 Gbps Direct Fiber – T-Systems
2 Gbps Direct Fiber – Global Crossing
1 Gbps Direct Fiber – Tiscali
2 Gbps Direct Fiber – BTN/PCCW
2 Gbps Direct Fiber – VERIO
2 Gbps Direct Fiber – XO Communications
1 Gbps Direct Fiber – SAVVIS
1 Gbps Direct Fiber – MCI/UUNET
1 Gbps Direct Fiber – Telia
1 Gbps Direct Fiber – LA-IIX Peering
1 Gbps Direct Fiber – Any2 Exchange Peering

“We believe that this move is in the best interests of our VPS clients, as Pacific Rack utilizes world-class bandwidth providers. Where the old data center lacks in bandwidth carriers, Pacific Rack picks up.” stated Skylar MacMinn, CEO of Crissic Solutions late Friday evening. “From the tests our system administrators performed over the last 24 hours, we have concluded that the download and upload speeds are vastly improved from that of our old data center location and bandwidth carriers.”

“I believe this move will benefit Crissic Solutions not only towards a better becoming a leading service provider, but also by allowing their clients to benefit from the best bandwidth, on the best hardware that is available to date. This move is a first step towards a long business relationship that will enhance both businesses and improve customer satisfaction…” commented Dimitri Huyghues-Despointes, CEO of Steady Communications, LLC.

The move to the new data center is expected to last over the next couple of days, moving only a few VPS clients at a time, as they request being moved over. There is expected to be no downtime from the data transfer, as the client’s Virtual Private Server will be live during the transfer to the new data center. Once the data has transferred, new IP’s will be issued, and the client will then have to update their name servers.

“We are definitely excited to switch over to SteadCom. The quality and professionalism provided by SteadCom is outstanding,” states Skylar. “We expect great things with the new data center, and have no doubts moving forward.”

Crissic Solutions is expected to unveil a new VPS line and special promotions within the coming weeks. The VPS special will utilize the new data center, and is expected to get a massive turnout.

Crissic Solutions, LLC is beginning a 2 week period test with a new datacenter. Within this time period, all those VPS users interested can have their data transferred to the new VPS node in Pacific Rack, and get new IP’s. After the two week period you can continue on that new node, or be moved back to the original node. This would be a test, and you can chose to stay or to move back, and we would request that if you do move that you give us some information on the new node. We would like your feedback on uptime, performance, and speeds. We believe that by providing a node in a different datacenter with better carriers, that your services should improve.

Pacific Rack is a state of the art Data Center located in Los Angeles, California on the Pacific Coast of the United States of America. The bandwidth providers consist of: Level(3), Sprint, T-Systems, Global Crossing, Tiscali, BTW/PCCW, VERIO, XO Communications, SAVVIS, MCI/UUNET, Telia, LA-IIX Peering, Any2 Exchange Peering.

Please do note that by switching, there is NO additional cost, and your server price WILL remain the same. All VPS users that participate in this testing can receive double a spec of their choice, consisting of either HDD, RAM, Bandwidth, or up to 5 additional IP’s.
To begin the transfer of your files and to move to this new node for testing, please open a new support ticket with our Dedicated Support department. Please note that all VPS users are welcome to switch to this, but are not required. If we find that the new node is better than the current one you are on, then after 2 weeks we will be moving all client data over regardless, issuing new IP’s. If we do not find this satisfactory via our clients relaying information back to us, then we will continue to use the old node in the Atjeu, LLC Datacenter.

Dear value client,

Crissic Solutions, LLC is happy to announce a new payment method! After repeated requests for a safer, better Credit Card processor, Crissic has complied by adding 2checkout. Here is a short explanation of 2checkout:

2Checkout.com, Inc. (2CO) is the authorized reseller for over 1.6 million tangible or digital products and services.
Established in 1999 and headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, 2CO provides turnkey e-commerce solutions to thousands of business customers around the world. 2CO’s proprietary technology supports back-office functions including financial reporting, tracking, fraud prevention, affiliate tracking, customer service and sales tracking. In 2006, 2CO serviced over 1.9 million buyers for a total of over 200 million in sales. The site serves of an average of over 8 million page views per month.Since inception 2CO has maintained a steady and maintainable growth. The company’s approach is geared towards providing quality service to new and existing clients without feeling the need to expand at a rate that would sacrifice service to our clients.|

Please do note that Paypal is still offered, but if you pay via Credit Card we urge you to switch payments from PayPal to 2CheckOut. 2Checkout is more secure, and provides more security for your personal information.

To access 2CheckOut as a payment method, go to your unpaid invoice, and change your payment method from PayPal to 2CheckOut. If this option is not available to you, please open a support ticket so we can change the payment method for you.

Questions/Comments? Please do not hesitate to contact us!

Dear valued client,

As a shared client, you may have noticed some strange downtime, issues with quotas, and issues with creating accounts. We have found the solution, and believe it to be the cause of the VPS we have the server on. Currently Crissic’s shared clients are located on a large VPS on our main node. The issue that has arisen is that by default, openVZ and HyperVM have a max_quota limit of 1000, and we are using around 1250. The cause of the high quota usage is due to the amount of clients we have located on our shared server. The only way to correct this is to move the clients onto a dedicated box, where these issues would not happen.

We will be moving to a Core2Duo in the same datacenter, so the only difference will be less downtime due to server issues, and new IP’s. To explicate the move with minimal downtime, we will be updating the name servers to include these new IP’s, and send out an email to those who use custom name servers. After 48-72 hours after we have added these IP’s to our name server list, we will move data, and shut off the old server. This way, data loss will be minimal, and downtime will be non-existent.

We understand that this may cause some stress, so we are giving the warning out now. We plan to have our new server up within a week, where we would be transferring data during the weekend, on Saturday June 14th.

We will send out another email once the new server is up, and with a list of the IP’s. We will open separate support tickets with our clients that have a dedicated IP on our shared services.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope this will go as smoothly as possible. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to open a support ticket, talk with us via live chat, or give us a call on our toll free at 1(877)-677-8889

Thank you for your time and patience.
